Meet the Author
Heather Mahoney is a West Michigan photographer, community builder, and founder of Rising Together, an initiative celebrating and connecting influential women through portraits, storytelling, and community. Through years of photographing women, Heather began noticing something that had very little to do with the camera.
Women were hiding.
Behind their children. Behind their businesses. Behind their insecurities. Behind the belief that someday, when they looked different or felt more confident, then they would step forward.
Visible Without Apologies™ grew from those conversations and from Heather’s own journey of learning to stop standing on the sidelines of her life.
